Landline On Mobile: How does it work?

Landline On Mobile is a way to communicate via your phone device while displaying your office landline number. Businesses can do this through an app on either their mobile devices, desktops, laptops or tablets, making communication easy from anywhere. The app uses VoIP technology to connect calls over the internet instead of through traditional phone networks.

Download the app.

There are a number of providers that offer VoIP apps that can be easily downloaded onto your business devices. These apps often come with a small cost, however, the cost saving you experience from using VoIP far outways the cost of the apps.

Add your phone number.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, you will be able to add your phone number which enables you to make calls to and from a landline number. Your service provider’s implementation team should be able to help with the setup of this.

Select which numbers you want to call.

You can add as many contacts as you need or have your corporate directory set up so you can easily find your colleagues direct dial numbers or saved numbers. Once you’ve added them, you can select whether you want to make calls using WiFi or mobile data depending on the device you are using.

You’re done.

After setup is complete you can start making calls via your app. You can choose to set up a voicemail that you are able to access from anywhere. You are able to call all numbers from your mobile device while displaying your business’s office landline number. This presents a more professional image to your clients. They are also able to identify easily who the call is from.
