Google Plan to Axe Nexus One After Final Sales

It appears that as soon as supplies have dried up, then the Nexus One from Google will be no more.
Google’s own Android handset has been discontinued after the company announced that it was cutting ties with the concept. Earlier this month, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, revealed that the Nexus One was to be cut out of the company’s portfolio.
According to a news report from Mobile Choice UK, once the last batch of Nexus One handsets have been sold, and the stocks have finally diminished, the handset will no longer be available.
Google announced that the Nexus One had fulfilled its purpose, which was developing the hardware side of Android. Therefore, there was no need to introduce a Nexus Two or to continue with the original model.
During its existence, the Nexus One offered a decent option for an Android handset. As one of the first Android phones to receive upgrading to Android OS 2.2, it featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1GHz processor, and sported a very respectable 5MP camera. As expected, it came with all the typical Android touchscreen essentials.
However, after the phone was launched in January, there were a number of complaints about the Nexus One. One of the biggest frustrations was the fact that Google only responded to questions by e-mail, and lacked phone-based support.
A number of people encountered problems with the Nexus One 3G wireless networks support network too. There were also reports of bugs occurring when users tried to synchronise contacts or access existing Google accounts on their Nexus One.
