Job Specification

Job Title:            New Business Field Sales Representative
Reporting to:      Sales Manager
Location:            Newton Aycliffe      
Hours of work:  39.5 per week excluding meal breaks
Salary:                £25,000 plus uncapped commission (OTE £50K) 
Benefits:            Company car allowance (£350), fuel card, mobile, Blackberry, laptop


Purpose of the job: 
The successful candidate will be highly driven and target focused with the aim of actively generating new business and sales in a target-driven role in line with Barclay Communications’ sales strategy.

 
Main responsibilities:
• Cold calling and generating new customers.
• Development and management of customer pipeline.
• Generating revenue and acquiring customers.
• Customer evaluation and procurement.
• Sales process management.
• Accurate forecasting
• Development of best practices for leading successful sales campaigns.
• Develop a repeatable sales model that ensures consistent success and revenue growth.
• Devise creative, "out-of-the-box" ideas and implement them.
• Be responsible and accountable for meeting deadlines.
• Giving feedback to management.
• Generate sufficient number of sales leads to maintain your KPIs and ultimately meet and exceed your connection target.
• Attending networking events, door knocking, database management, channel marketing events, building relationships with retail teams and stores


Essential Criteria
• Self motivated with a proven track record in field sales role.
• Successful track record in canvassing and self generation of appointments.
• Experience of managing and developing a sales territory and database.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to recognise its impact on the organisation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Integrity of the highest level.
• Experience of developing plans and business cases including cost/benefit analysis.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Managing own workload through planning and prioritisation.
• Must have ability to be seen as one of the team and be a team player.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills. 
• Business focused and customer (internal and external) oriented approach.
• Computer literate with experience of PC usage on PowerPoint, Excel and Word software.
• Driving License due to the need to travel throughout the country.
