Could your business be the next Action Cancer Shops’ Challenge winner?

Does your business have what it takes to promote, manage and increase sales in an Action Cancer shop?

The Action Cancer Shops’ Challenge, sponsored by Barclay Communications, is asking companies to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test by taking over the running of an Action Cancer shop for one day in September.

The team with the highest percentage sales increase and the highest amount fundraised in the run up to and during the event will be announced at the celebration event in October, hosted by Jim Eastwood from The Apprentice.

Rebecca Dalzell from Action Cancer Northern Ireland said:

“Our Shops’ Challenge is the perfect way for organisations to harness their employee’s talents and skills, all while giving back to the local community. With 12 regional locations, we will match your company with a local Action Cancer boutique store and manager to help you maximise your fundraising efforts.

“Each year, we must raise over £3.5m to enable us to continue providing our vital, lifesaving services.

“Action Cancer’s Shops Challenge is one of our flagship events and genuinely saves lives. Over the last 4 years we have raised over £250,000 through the challenge.

“I urge companies to enter and join us on the 6th April at Action Cancer House for our induction day; we look forward to seeing you there.”

Joanne McSeveney, Head of Corporate Services at Barclay Communications said:

“Action Cancer is Northern Ireland’s leading local cancer charity working to save lives and support people affected by cancer. One in two people will develop cancer at some time during their life; however 50% of cancer is preventable. Action Cancer’s focus is on health promotion and early detection of cancer, as well as support services for those with cancer and their families.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring this fantastic event again, which raises vital funds and awareness for a cause so close to many of our hearts.

“I encourage businesses to enter this worthwhile fundraiser to take on a challenge that will save and support people affected by cancer in Northern Ireland.”
